Phil Bowell is a UX/UI designer in Cheltenham.
With over 12 years experience in the design industry I’ve worked with a mix of clients from local and national businesses, to one of the UK’s oldest charities. I’m now part of the in-house User Experience (UX) team at UCAS
Having started in the world of print design after university in 2007, I transitioned to designing and building websites professionally in 2012. I’ve always taken the approach of trying to understand what my users were doing on the websites I worked on, and how I could serve them with my designs. Evidence based design has is at the heart of what I do.
Away from work
You can often find me indulging my passion for coffee, in a local speciality coffee shop in Cheltenham. I also serve in my church helping to lead a Monday evening youth group, as well as a regular small group with a bunch of friends.
You’ll also find me yelling in support of my favourite football team, Nottingham Forest, or cheering on Team Ineos in Le Tour de France. It’s equally likely you’ll find me relaxing on the sofa enjoying a good book or watching a good boxset (Friends, The West Wing, Designated Survivor, that kind of thing).
